Agartala: Ahead of the celebration of the third anniversary of the BJP government in Tripura, the council of ministers in a meeting announced to launch three ambitious projects to boost the rural economy of the state and to inculcate the Atmanirbhar Bharat mission of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Twitter handle of CM Biplab Deb mentioned under Chief Minister’s floriculture scheme the cabinet has decided to provide technical and logistic support besides extending financial help to 6000 flower orchard owners to go for floriculture at commercial scale bringing 1200 hectors of land scaling up the existing 185 hectors areas. Tripura is still depending on the supply of daily flower demands from West Bengal despite having a huge potential for floriculture.
The state government had announced to provide monthly assistance of Rs 200 to the female members of two lakh families living roadsides for rising and maintenance of fruits and flower plants in front of their houses in 2019 budget but it has not yet been materialised.
In the second scheme – Chief Minister’s model village has allowed MLAs to choose a village where cleanliness drive would carry out to make the village free from plastic waste, develop proper disposal of solid waste, cent per cent open defecation free, adequate infrastructure of drinking water and the children would be administered all vaccines.
“The state government will award the best performing village where a conducive environment will be created for the children to live in a healthy, eco-friendly and secure environment,” CM announced on twitter. In the third scheme, according to CM, the state government has decided to bring another 30,000 hector of lands under rubber cultivation under Chief Minister’s rubber mission.
In the scheme, beneficiaries would get a loan of Rs 50,000 for each hectare of land for rubber cultivation.
Apart from those, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb also, launched an online application so that the people can easily know about various schemes of central and state governments to deliver benefits of various government schemes to the people in less time and easy manner.
“Tripura became the first state in the North East and third in the country after Karnataka and Bihar to introduce such an application. As of now, 35 departments and over 125 services have been connected with this online application,” Deb stated after launching the application.
