Dharamshala: On the occasion of coming New Year 2023, due to the possibility of increasing movement of tourists in the tourist cities of Dharamshala and Mcleodganj, District Magistrate Kangra Dr. Nipun Jindal has issued instructions regarding the prescribed traffic plan in the context of smooth running of the traffic. He said that the traffic plan proposed by SP Kangra will be implemented from today till January 1, 2023 midnight.
He said that during the upcoming New Year 2023 and winter holidays, there is a possibility of a huge increase in the number of tourists in the tourist city of Dharamshala and especially in McLeodganj. Therefore, in order to run the law and order and traffic system smoothly and to ensure that all the visitors travel conveniently to McLeodganj, a traffic plan has been set by the administration.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the tourists going from Dharamshala to Mcleodganj can go to Mcleodganj via Thandi Road via Farsetganj via Naddi Marg. He told that the tourists going to Bhagsunag will proceed on the Bhagsunag route from here. On the other hand, people going to Dharamkot will go to Dharamkot by Tippa road after reaching Mcleodganj by this route.
Mcleodganj to Naddi*
Tourists will be able to reach Naddi from Main Square Mcleodganj via Church Marg via the divided road at Farsetganj.
To reach Dharamshala from Naddi, tourists have to go via Dal Lake, Mcleodganj Police Station.
Deputy Commissioner KÃ ngra To go to Dharamshala from Mcleodganj, people will have to go to Dharamshala via Main Square Mcleodganj via Church Marg, Farsetganj. He told that one can also use Khada Danda road from McLeod Ganj to reach Dharamshala.
Tourists going from Dharamkot to Dharamshala will have to go from Dharamkot Chowk to Mountaineering Institute Dharamkot via the newly constructed paved road leading to Thandi Road via Glen Chowk, Church Marg, Farsetganj to Dharamshala.
On the other hand, to go to Bhagsunag, from Dharamkot Chowk, via Mountaineering Institute Dharamkot, one has to go to Bhagsunag from Glen Chowk, Mcleodganj Main Square, by the newly constructed paved road leading to Thandi Road.
According to the traffic plan, to go from Dharamkot to Naddi, the route from Dharamkot Chowk to Mountaineering Institute Dharamkot via Thandi Road to the newly constructed paved road to Glen Chowk, Church Marg, Farsetganj to Dal Lake, Naddi has been fixed.
The Deputy Commissioner said that during this period loading and unloading of vehicles will not be allowed at Kotwali Bazar Dharamshala from 9 am to 8 pm.
