Tokyo Olympics: Indian men’s hockey team defeats Spain 3-0

This was India's second win in three matches. Earlier they had defeated New Zealand 3-2 on Saturday, before going down to Australia. India is now placed at the second position in the group of six.

Tokyo: Indian men’s hockey team regained their winning form after a humiliating defeat at the hands of Australia when they beat Spain 3-0 in a group match here on Tuesday.

For the men in blue Rupinder Pal Singh (15′, 51′) and Simranjeet Singh (14′) scored, including one from a penalty stroke, while goalkeeper PR Sreejesh kept a clean sheet to bring India’s Olympics campaign back on track.
