TN govt recommends NIA probe into car blast case

A decision to recommend the NIA probe was taken at a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister M.K.Stalin at the State Secretariat in which the present status of the investigation by the State police and the preventive measures put in place in Coimbatore in the wake of the blast were discussed.

Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Government on Wednesday recommended to the Centre to order a National Investigation Agency(NIA) probe into the Coimbatore car blast, in which a suspected IS radicalized Jameesha Mubin, was killed early on Sunday.
