Agartala: The All India Trinamool Congress Spokesperson Kunal Ghosh has been shifted to a private hospital here on Tuesday after he fell sick in New Capital Complex police station during police interrogation over alleged access of Ghosh and four other TMC leaders in Khowai police station last month.
The doctors attending him said the condition of Ghosh is stable now but his blood pressure, sodium and potassium have been diagnosed below normal. He had fallen ill during the discussion in the police station. Immediately, he was shifted to a nearby private super-speciality hospital by the police.
“He felt problems in breathing along with weakness and greediness although police were very cordial,” said a TMC leader accompanying Ghosh in the hospital adding that he was overstressed for the last few days because of political pressure from the Tripura government to prevent the scheduled rally of Abhishekh Banerjee.
Besides, continuous violence and police atrocities on TMC supporters for the past three months have created a hostile political atmosphere in Tripura. Apprehending the mass gathering and exposure of public support to Trinamool Congress, the BJP government in the state has not allowed the rally of the party, which has also been the reason for the sudden illness of Kunal Ghosh, TMC leaders stated.
