Thoubal: A Subhash Singh, IAS, DC/District Election Officer, Thoubal Wednesday distributed prizes to the winners of District Level Painting Competition 2024 on the theme “Role of Youths in Democracy”.
The competition was held on 12 April 2024 at Waikhom Mani Girls College Thoubal, organised by SVEEP Thoubal.
Winnners were given ₹3000, ₹2000 and ₹1000 each to the first, second and third winners respectively and ₹500 each to the five consolation prize winners, along with certificates, SVEEP T-shirts and caps.
The month-long election poster campaign also concluded today. From street corners and markets to villages, poster campaigns were held spreading the message of inclusive, ethical and informed voting.
As the countdown to the election day progresses, strict guidelines have been put in place in the district. Political functionaries from outside the constituency are barred from remaining within the area from 4pm of 17th April, 2024 after the campaign period concludes.
The use of loudspeakers has been strictly regulated during the final 48 hours (from 4pm of 17th April, 2024) preceding the polling hours. Loudspeakers fitted on vehicles or used in any other manner are prohibited within polling areas during this period.
