Thoubal: The District Administration, Thoubal, successfully organized the Seva Setu Abhiyan (Go to Village) in connection with the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, 2026, at Wangjing Ningthou Community Hall, commemorating 25 years of public service and office of the Hon’ble Prime Minister.
Hon’ble MLA Paonam Brojen Singh, Wangjing Assembly Constituency, addressed the gathering and stated that the government has introduced various welfare schemes across different sectors for the benefit of the general public. However, many people are still unaware of these welfare schemes and the benefits available to them. Shri Paonam Brojen Singh further emphasized that the general public from different areas of the district should enroll in the various government welfare schemes in order to avail themselves of the benefits provided by the government.
The Deputy Commissioner, Thoubal, Yumnam Robita, IAS, warmly welcomed all the gathering and beneficiaries who had assembled to avail themselves of various government welfare schemes implemented in the district. She acknowledged the genuine beneficiaries and emphasized the importance of ensuring that eligible persons avail themselves of the benefits of various government welfare schemes. She also urged the beneficiaries to complete the necessary enrolment and application processes to access the schemes.
Further, Hon’ble MLA Paonam Brojen Singh, Wangjing Assembly Constituency, and Deputy Commissioner, Thoubal, Yumnam Robita, IAS, inspected various stalls and distributed aids and appliances to three beneficiaries with disabilities under the initiative of the District Administration, Thoubal.
Certificates of Appreciation were also distributed to the best Anganwadi Workers and Anganwadi Helpers selected from each sector on the occasion of the Angan Ka Utsav Programme organized by the ICDS Project, Thoubal, in 2026.
Furthermore, sanction notes were distributed to four Self-Help Groups from different areas of the district provided by the SBI Wangjing Branch.
During today’s Seva Setu Abhiyan, ADM Aribam Amarjit Sharma, SDOs, SDCs, DLOs, officials and staff of the DC Office, Thoubal, along with more than a hundred members of the public, participated in the programme. The public sought information regarding various government schemes and enrolled themselves in different government welfare schemes to avail the benefits provided by the government.
