Thoubal DC distributes 11 CMHT cards during Meeyamgi Numit

Thoubal: “Meeyamgi Numit” (People’s Day) organised by the District Administration Thoubal was held Thursday at the Counting Hall of Deputy Commissioner’s Office Complex. DC Thoubal, A. Subhash Singh, heard various grievances and demands of the public and also distributed eleven (11) Chief Minister-gi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT) cards to the eligible beneficiaries.

Around 98 written applications were received today with queries pertaining to Chief Minister-gi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT) card, Old Age Pension/Widow Pension, housing scheme, handloom card, birth certificate and others during the programme. Altogether 20 (twenty) stalls of different departments were opened to meet the demand of the public including Police, CMO, ICDS, ZEO, MSPDCL, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry, District Supply Officer, and Agriculture among others.

CMHT, the pioneering health assurance scheme initiated by the State Government continues to be popular in demand with the public. Many individuals coming in today initiated the process for obtaining the health card by submitting necessary documents under the guidance of the concern officials. The Deputy Commissioner also distributed eleven CMHT cards to the beneficiaries.

Md. Sahid, a resident of Sangaiyumpham Part-1 speaking to officials of Office of the District Information Officer, Thoubal said that he had submitted the application form for the CMHT card on “Meeyamgi Numit” held on 15th of July. He expressed gratitude to the District Administration for the prompt action and added that the general public of the District should take advantage of such a program taken up by the authorities.

In Thursday’s “Meeyamgi Numit”, SP Thoubal, Jogeshchandra Haobijam; CMO Thoubal; all Sub- Divisional Officers, and other District level Officers of different departments attended the programme to address the grievances of the general public.
