Third round of training for polling personnel begins

Pherzawl: In the run-up to Phase 2 of Lok Sabha Elections 2024 slated to be held on April 26, the District Election Office, Pherzawl organized the third and final round of training for polling personnel today at Churachandpur Govt College. Polling officials drafted in for poll duty in the Tipaimukh assembly segment, including the reserved pool, underwent today’s training.

The final round of training covered statutory and non-statutory form filling exercises, awareness on Poll Star and e-Traccar mobile apps, webcasting and briefing on EVM/VVPAT handling by ECIL engineers. Similar training programme for polling officials to be deployed in Thanlon assembly segment is scheduled on Monday. 

Post completion of all training programmes, the District Election Office, Pherzawl will commence dispatch of polling parties to their designated stations in batches several days ahead of the poll day.

Thanlon and Tipaimukh, the two assembly segments in Pherzawl district fall in Outer Manipur Parliamentary constituency. All the 78 polling stations within the two assembly segments will go to polls in the 2nd phase on April 26.
