Kolkata: Asserting that the opposition parties will work together to reduce the BJP to “zero” in next year’s Lok Sabha polls, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday made it clear that there is “no ego clash”.
Speaking to the media after holding talks with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejaswi Yadav at the state secretariat Nabanna, Banerjee said, ” BJP has become a big hero. We will have to reduce them to zero…. We are all together. “
“I have made just one request to Nitish Kumar. JP movement started from Bihar. If we have an all-party meeting in Bihar, we can send a clear message that we are together, ” she stated.
Banerjee further said, ” If our thought, vision, and mission are clear, there will be no issue. “
Accusing the BJP of resorting to “lies and goondagardi (criminal activities),” Banerjee said, ” We all will collectively work together. “
Averring that the three leaders had a “very positive discussion”, Kumar said they will make all preparations ahead of the coming elections.
“The present dispensation has nothing to do but their own publicity. Nothing is being executed for the nation’s development, ” he added.
