Hyderabad: Telangana’s cumulative COVID-19 cases reached 5,91,170 with 1436 new confirmed infection cases recorded until 1730 hours on Sunday.
Afer 14 people died of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, the death toll has risen to 3378 till date translating a case fatality rate of 0.57 per cent as against the countrywide mortality rate of 1.2 per cent, according to the bulletin issued by the Office of the Director Public Health and Family Welfare here Sunday.
As many as 3614 people have recovered from coronavirus statewide as of Sunday to take the overall number of recoveries to 5,60,776 constituting a recovery rate of 94.85 per cent while the national recovery rate was 93.62 per cent.
The active cases in the state currently stands at 27,016, the bulletin said.
In all, 97,751 samples were tested in the state during the last 24 hours to detect the contagious virus out of which the results of 1,587 swab samples are awaited.
Since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic 1, 58, 61,242 COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the state so far.
