Mumbai: Team Gladiators Esports emerged as the champions of Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2023 (BGIS) finale held at iconic SVP Stadium here on Sunday.
In the first-ever LAN finale of BGIS, the winners took home a grand prize of Rs 75 lakh from a total prize pool of Rs two crore.
Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra, who was the chief guest for the closing ceremony, awarded the winners.
BGIS kicked off in July 2023, where 2,048 selected teams participated in several rounds to secure their spot in the finals.
On October 12, 13 and 15, 16 final teams went head-to-head over the course of 18 matches, in which Gladiators Esports emerged triumphant, a press release said here on Monday.
