Sunbird Trust provides relief materials in Churachandpur

Imphal: The Sunbird Trust , a civil society organisation, Thursday reached out to displaced persons in camps in Churachandpur district with critically required relief materials.

The camps covered includes ECA Church, M.Songgel; Martin Luther Academy, New Zoveng; Don Bosco School, Cheingkon; St.Paul Institute, Gochinkhup Veng; Youth Hostel; Immanuel Community Hall; Evergreen School, Tongdam; Bijang Loubuk, Zoveng and St.Joseph School, Singngat 

The relief materials were decided after survey of the relief camps           and close consultation with the displaced persons and the relief incharge.

The items include blankets, mattress, mosquito net, emergency lamp, dal, potato, soybean, cooking oil, sugar, milk powder, tea leaves, onion, chilli, Lactogen, Cerelac, Baby diaper, Adult diaper, sanitary pads, toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, surf, shampoo, First Aid box, exercise book, pencil, Crayon, carom, football, volleyball, 

Dharun Kumar, Deputy Commissioner, Churachandpur district expressed his sincere gratitude to Sunbird Trust for their timely thoughtful help. 

The distribution was carried out in the presence of Mannuamching, IAS, DC Pherzawl & Relief Nodal Officer, Churachandpur District and Lamminlal Simte, MCS, SDO, Churachandpur.

The relief materials reached out to displaced persons due to the hard work and selfless support of Col (Retd) Christopher Rego the founder and CEO of Sunbird Trust, a statement of the Trust said.
