Earlier in the day, Kartik Kumar was shifted from the law department to the sugarcane industry department on the advice of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
It may be recalled that Karthik Kumar, a close confidant of former RJD MLA and heavyweight leader Anant Singh, was under opposition’s attack since he had taken the oath as cabinet minister on the day he had to surrender before the court in connection with an abduction case.
