Guwahati: Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal has reviewed various government sponsored projects in Assam’s Dibrugarh district.
Sonowal took stock of the projects around various embankments and other measures taken to prevent floods and land erosion in the region.
Inspected various flood protection projects at my village Muluk Gaon in Dibrugarh and took stock of progress of works.
People from Halgaon in Bindhakota, Tengabari ghat, Pukhurijaan, Raidaang near Dinjaan Army camp, and around Bindhakota Bor Namghar have been facing floods during monsoon and several projects are being executed by the government to control it, Sonowal tweeted.
Sonowal, asked officials and departments concerned to work swiftly towards a complete solution against floods in the area, an official release said.Â
