Six-year-old among two killed, seven injured in Manipur blast

Imphal: Two persons including a six year old boy were killed and seven others injured when a mortar bomb exploded at Gangpimual village, Churachandpur district on Saturday.

Police suspected that children might had been trying to break the bomb as they were collecting scraps in the area.

The conditions of two persons were serious. Some of the injured were rushed to Imphal for treatment.

There is a BSF camp in the area and a firing range from where the children could have picked up the mortar.
