Six fresh Covid-19 cases push Arunachal tally to 64,408

Itanagar: Maintaining its sustained improvement, Arunachal Pradesh on Sunday recorded 19 more Covid19 recoveries and six new virus cases that pushed its tally of the overall confirmed disease count to 64,408, a senior health official said.

The total number of recovered cases has now increased to 63,947. The state’s active caseload has further dipped to 165. With no cases of casualty reported in the last 24 hours, the state’s Covid death toll remained unchanged at 296, the official said.

Of the new cases, three were detected in Itanagar Capital Complex while one each came from Lohit, Tawang and West Kameng districts. Five of the total cases were found to be asymptomatic and one symptomatic.

The day’s positivity rate was 2.74 percent, which stood at 4.01 percent the previous day.

The state’s Covid19 recovery rate currently stood at 99.28 percent, while the overall positivity rate dropped to 0.26 percent and the fatality rate remained at 0.46 percent.
