Imphal: Manipur reported a single Covid related death in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Friday, taking Manipur’s cumulative death toll to 1,960. During the same period, 78 persons (75 general populations, 3 CAPF) tested coronavirus positive while 50 persons recovered and were discharged, as per an official release from the Health Department.
The lone person who expired on Saturday is from Imphal West, he had co-morbidities and had been vaccinated with 2nd dose.
Of the 75 persons who tested positive from the general population, 41 are from Imphal West, 27 from Imphal East, two from Chandel and one each from Churachandpur, Senapati and Thoubal.
Altogether, 2,061 persons were tested for a positivity rate of 3.8 %.
Meanwhile, 35 persons recovered and were discharged Saturday, three of them from home isolation, 23 from CCCs, seven from JNIMS and one from RIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 97.93 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 24,835 out of which 1,22,245 have recovered leaving 630 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on November 19, 2021, is 6,736, the cumulative number of doses administered is 20,97,471(1st dose 12,08,542, 2nd dose 8,28,542).
