Gangtok: Chief Minister PS Tamang, visited former Chief Minister PK Chamling’s residence at Yangang to pay condolences on the death of late Asha Rani Chamling.
He visited the residence on Wednesday.
Chamling’s mother, Asha Rani Chamling, was 97 years old and died at a hospital in Siliguri, West Bengal, due to old age-related ailments.
”All my respects to the late Asha Rani Chamling, mother of former Chief Minister Pawan Kumar Chamling. My thoughts and prayers are with their family and friends during this difficult time. May her soul rest in eternal peace! ” CM Tamang posted on Facebook.
Asha Rani left for her heavenly abode Wednesday night at Siliguri Hospital. Her funeral will take place on Friday. And the last rites will be performed on January 2, 2024.
