Gangtok: Sikkim Power Development Corporation donated a sum of Rs 15 Lakhs on Thursday, towards the Chief Minister Relief Fund, in a token gesture to help the state tide over the devastation caused by flash floods. The flash floods were triggered between October 3 night and the early hours October 4 due to Glacial Lake Outburst at a 17000 ft altitude in the Himalayas. Chief Minister P S Tamang appreciated the gesture of the power company. ‘Their contribution symbolises compassion, kindness and commitment to making a positive impact in this crucial time. And with their support, we are able to continue our mission of providing critical resources, support and care to those facing challenging times,” disclosed the CM.
