Gangtok: Dal Bahadur Chauhan, President, BJP Sikkim State, submitted his resignation, on Tuesday.
In the letter written to BJP National President, JP Nadda, he thanked the party.
‘My sincere gratitude towards my party high command, my State unit co-workers, friends and well wishers for their guidance, advice and cooperation throughout the tenure,’ conveyed Chauhan.
Since Chauhan has not provided an official explanation for his resignation, it can be interpreted as a personal decision.
On the 13th day of the month, Chauhan resigned from the BJP after serving for 13 years.
BJP is yet to declare any President for the State.
Additionally, DB Chauhan served as Advisor to the State Forest Department from 2nd September 2020 until 11th October 2021.
