Mysuru: Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Sunday said senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah should oppose a BBC documentary which has distorted the truth.
“The facts have been distorted with a purpose, and naturally will react in that manner. Actually, Siddaramaiah must oppose this documentary. Whatever may be the political differences, they must unite in the interest of the nation,” he told reporters.
On mic controversy, Bommai said, “He is our guru. I gave a reaction to the issue raised by the seer. After that incident, the pontiff continued his speech.
A couple of days back, Bommai had abruptly reacted to the seer’s allegations of lackadaisical attitude of the politicians to address rain-related problems in Mahadevapura constituency.
Bommai had requested the seer to pass on the mike before countering his remarks. Bommai had clarified that he was not among those politicians who would promise and don’t deliver.
