Shabana Azmi tests positive for Covid-19

Mumbai: Veteran Bollywood actress Shabana Azmi was tested positive for Covid-19. “Have tested positive for Covid today. Have isolated myself at home and request all those who were in close contact with me to please get tested”, the 71-year-old actress wrote in an Instagram post on Tuesday.

She also urged those who came in close contact with her, to get tested.

Well-wishers from the public and the film industry alike flooded the comments section with get-well-soon wishes “Get well soon shabanaji,” actor Divya Dutta wrote while designer Manish Malhotra commented, “Take care. Get well soon”.

“Oh God, please stay away from Javed Saab,” advised producer Boney Kapoor. Saif Ali Khan’s elder sister conveyed her wishes in a comment saying “Aadab . Wishing u a Speedy recovery”.

Veteran actress Soni Razdan also penned, “Get well soon and hope you don’t have it bad. Lots of love.” One fan commented saying, “Corona has fallen in love with you. Get well soon.”

Fans also wished her speedy recovery. “Get well soon ma’am. Hope Javed sir is fine. Wish you a speedy recovery.” a fan wrote while another wrote, “You look so elegant. Love what you are wearing in your neck. May you recover speedily.” Shabana Azmi is set to star in filmmaker Karan Johar’s upcoming film ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’, starring Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra and Jaya Bachchan.

She will also be seen in the upcoming series American series ‘Halo’ based on popular Xbox military FPS game franchise, co-produced by Showtime in partnership with Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television and 343 Industries. The show will arrive on the streamer on March 24, 2022.
