The boy’s father and elder sister, also admitted to the same hospital, were also found negative after their Covid tests.

The authorities, however, are compiling a list of people who had come into contact with the boy since he was brought into the state on December 11.

The boy, who returned from Abu Dhabi along with his family members, tested positive during a random Coronavirus test conducted at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad near Telangana’s capital Hyderabad on Sunday night.

On reaching the state, the family had gone to the boy’s maternal grandmother’s place in Malda district’s Kaliachak. From there, they drove to their house at Baniagram in Farakka block of Murshidabad district.
