Senapati: The District Administration, Senapati, joined the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, with the campaign observed today at Senapati Public Ground with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm.
The programme witnessed the participation of District Level Officers, teachers and school students from across the district.
Addressing the gathering, Deputy Commissioner, Senapati, Dharun Kumar S (IAS), extended a warm welcome to all officials, colleagues and participants. He emphasised that the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign provides an opportunity for citizens to express their love, respect and pride for the National Flag while strengthening the spirit of unity and patriotism.
The Deputy Commissioner called for collective efforts and active participation from all sections of society to make the campaign a meaningful and successful people’s movement. He urged officials and stakeholders to encourage households, educational institutions, community organisations and youth to participate in the campaign and display the Tricolour with due dignity and respect.
He further highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts among the District Administration and other stakeholders in creating wider awareness about the campaign and ensuring its effective implementation across the district. He expressed confidence that the collective participation of the people of Senapati would further strengthen the message of national unity, pride and “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” associated with the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign.
The programme was followed by the Har Ghar Tiranga Pledge, administered under the leadership of Shaikh Mohd Zaib Zakir, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Senapati.
Speaking at the welcome note, SDC Panii Ngaonii highlighted the significance of the National Flag and the need for every citizen to understand and abide by the Flag Code of India. He stated that the National Flag is more than a symbol of the nation, as it represents the unity, pride, aspirations and sacrifices of the people of India. Across generations, professions, languages and traditions, the Tricolour continues to serve as a powerful symbol that unites the country.
As part of the campaign, a signature campaign on Har Ghar Tiranga was also conducted, led by Deputy Commissioner Dharun Kumar S (IAS), followed by district officials and other participants.
Full Dress Rehearsal for 80th Independence Day Celebration
Meanwhile, the District Administration conducted the full- dress rehearsal for the upcoming 80th Independence Day celebration at Senapati Public Ground. The rehearsal was conducted as part of the district’s preparations to ensure smooth and effective conduct of the national celebration.
During the rehearsal, the Deputy Commissioner took the salute from six parade contingents, comprising personnel from the CRPF, IRB, Police personnel (Men and Women), and VDF, along with the Band Party of 16 Assam Rifles. The parade was commanded by D. Theingam Thangal, MPS, SDPO Senapati.
The full-dress rehearsal witnessed the participating contingents demonstrating discipline, coordination and ceremonial preparedness. The exercise also provided an opportunity to assess the overall arrangements and preparedness of various departments and stakeholders for the forthcoming 80th Independence Day celebration.
The Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign and the full- dress rehearsal reflected the collective spirit of patriotism, discipline and national pride, with the District Administration and participating stakeholders reaffirming their commitment to making the Independence Day celebrations meaningful and memorable.
