Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Saturday, Manipur registered 4 Covid-19 related deaths, 303 new positive cases (296 general population, 7 CAPF) and 288 recoveries, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.
The 4 persons who succumbed to the deadly virus include 2 from Imphal East and one each from Imphal West and Ukhrul. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1,796. Three of the deceased had co-morbidities while none of them had been vaccinated.
The 296 persons (137 males, 159 females) from the general population who tested positive include 125 from Imphal West, 38 from Imphal East, 28 from Churachandpur, 27 from Ukhrul, 20 from Bishnupur, 14 from Kakching, 12 from Thoubal, 11 from Kangpokpi, 9 from Tamenglong, 6 from Kamjong, 5 from Chandel, 4 from Senapati, 2 from Jiribam and 1 each from Pherzawl and Tengnoupal.
Altogether, 3,349 samples were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 8.0 %.
Meanwhile, 288 persons were discharged which include 122 from home isolation, 98 from CCCs, 52 from CHICs, 16 from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 95.59 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,15,077 (General Population – 1, 10,942, Central Security Personnel – 4,135). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 1, 10,003 (General Population – 1, 05,909, Central Security Personnel – 4,094). The number of active cases is 3,278 (General Population – 3,241, Personnel – 36).
The total number of doses administered on September 3, 2021, is 7,760 and the cumulative number doses administered is 15,54,103 (1st dose 11,92,491, 2nd dose 3,61,612)
The total number of beds available in various hospitals for Covid-19 patients on September 4 is 508 out of which 418 are general beds while 92 are ICU beds.
The total number of beds available in Covid Care Centers in the state on September 3 is 3467 out of which 708 are occupied and 2759 are vacant.
