Saturday sees 1198 positive cases, 14 deaths, 872 recoveries in Manipur

29,359 persons were vaccinated on June July 21, 2021. The cumulative number of vaccination is 11,64,063(1st dose 10,10,902, 2nd dose 1,53,167).

Imphal: Saturday also did not bring any respite for Manipur as the state reported over a thousand new positive cases of 1198 in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Saturday. During the same period, 14 more persons succumbed to the deadly pandemic while 872 persons recovered, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.

Of the 11197 persons from the general population who tested positive Saturday, 391 are from Imphal West, 292 from Imphal East, 1193 from Thoubal, 134 from Churachandpur, 88 from Bishnupur, 52 from Kakching, 39 from Chandel, 27 from Senapati, 25 from Kangpokpi,1 8 from Tamenglong, 9 from Noney and6 each from Jiribam and Tengloupal, 3 each from Kanjong and Ukhrul and 2 from Pherzawl.

Altogether 7,068 persons amounted to a marginally improved positivity rate of 16.9 %.

Of the 14  persons who succumbed to the deadly pandemic, eight of them are from Imphal West, three from Bishnupur, two from Churachandpur and one from Imphal East. The cumulative Covid related death toll in the state now stands at 1,465.

 Meanwhile, of the 872 persons who were discharged, 456 of them were on home isolation, 192 were from CHICs, 184 were from CCCs and 34 were from RIMS and 6 were from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state stands at 87.19% on Friday.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 91,460(General Population – 87,498, Central Security Personnel – 3,962). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 79,744(General Population – 75,847, Central Security Personnel – 3,897). The number of active cases is 10,251(General Population – 10,191, Personnel – 60).
