Imphal: The Manipur government is in the process of installing sanitary pad vending machines in the government-run schools in the state.

The machine will be first installed in at least 38 schools under the Chief Minister’s Menstrual Hygiene Scheme (CMMHS).

Biren explained that the scheme was launched with the goal of raising menstrual hygiene awareness among adolescent girls. 

The orientation programme for 75 teachers from 38 schools, held from December 27, 2022, to January 6, 2023, had been completed at Imphal.
