Imphal: Songashim Rungsung won the Rubaru Mr India United Continents and also bagged the “Best National Costume” during the contest. Songashim Rungsung hails from Ukhrul district, Manipur.
Tourism Director, W Ibohal Singh congratulated the winner and said that his win is a testament that the youth of this state is not only talented but hard working and have the willpower to win any competition in any field.
Songashim Rungsung has finished his masters in social work from St Joseph’s College (Autonomous) Bangalore and is currently a fashion model and a fitness enthusiast. His main aim is to help youngsters of this generation to help themselves and live a very healthy and fit life.
Songashim has been an inspiration to many youths in his community and he also took up the initiative to train and help people during the pandemic period and has transformed more than 100 people.
