New Delhi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat was on Friday tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
“Currently, he [Bhagwat] is exhibiting some mild symptoms and as a precautionary measure and for carrying out routine tests he has been admitted to Nagpur Kingsway Hospital,” the saffron organisation informed through Twitter.
Notably, the 70-year-old Bhagwat, who is the sixth head of RSS, had taken the first shot of COVID-19 vaccine on March 7.
The Nagpur city, where RSS headquarters is located, reported 6,550 new cases of Covid-19 on Friday while 67 more people lost their lives there.
