Imphal: The number of recovery at 108 exceeded the number of new positive cases at 88 in Manipur in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Saturday. During the same period, the state also reported two Covid related deaths, as per an official release from the health department.
Of the two persons who succumbed to the deadly virus, one of them is from Imphal East and the other one is from Ukhrul. Both the persons who succumbed to the deadly virus had co-morbidities and none of them has been vaccinated. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1,895.
28 persons of the 87 persons who tested positive from the general population today are from Imphal West, 24 from Imphal East, 10 from Thoubal, nine from Ukhrul, four each from Bihsnupur and Churachandpur, three each from Kakching and Tengnoupal and one each from from Chandel Kangpokpi and Kamjong. Altogether, 2,010 persons were tested giving a positivity rate of 4.4 %.
Meanwhile, of the 108 persons who recovered and were discharged, 20 are from home isolation, 70 from CCCs, nine from RIMS and nine from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 97.30 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1, 22,633 out of which 1,19,316 have recovered leaving 1,422 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on October 15, 2021, is 5,835 and the cumulative number of doses administered is 18, 15,480 (1st dose 12,35,197, 2nd dose 5,80,283).
The total numbers of beds available in various hospitals for Covid-19 patients on October 15 is 583 out of which 479 are general beds while 104 are ICU beds.
