Raja Bhaiyya party to contest 100 seats in UP polls

Agra: Jansatta Dal Loktantrik Party led by Independent MLA Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya, has announced to contest 100 seats in Uttar Pradesh assembly polls.

Raja Bhaiyya, who launched his Jan Seva Sankalp Yatra, started from Lucknow and will go to Noida, reaching Agra on Tuesday.

During this, he met party workers and office-bearers.

Talking to media persons here on Tuesday about the upcoming assembly elections, Raja Bhaiya said our party has now identified 100 seats across the state.

” This number may still increase further. On the other hand, regarding the alliance with the Samajwadi Party or any other party,” he said that he has not spoken to anyone yet.

On this, Raja Bhaiya said,” there has been no talk with any party. If there is any indication regarding the alliance, then after discussion by the party office-bearers, a decision will be taken in the interest of the party.”

During the elections held for 10 Rajya Sabha seats in UP in 2018, there was a rift in the relationship between Raja Bhaiya and SP President Akhilesh Yadav regarding voting. In such a situation, now Raja Bhaiya has indicated that if it is in the interest of the party, then he can also forge an alliance with the SP.

Importantly, Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya has a different identity in the politics of Poorvanchal in UP, especially in Thakur politics.

Since 1993, he has been continuously winning the assembly elections from the Kunda seat of Pratapgarh. Even in the Modi wave in the 2017 assembly elections, Raja Bhaiya had defeated the BJP candidate. In this election, he got 136597 votes, while BJP candidate Janki Sharan had to be satisfied with 32960 votes only.
