Chikkanayakanahalli: National BJP President JP Nadda on Saturday said Rahul Gandhi has insulted the people of the country by instigating America and Europe against India.

Rahul Gandhi is also causing a threat to India’s sovereignty, and Congress and its leaders have become mentally bankrupt and should be defeated in the coming assembly election in Karnataka, the BJP president said. “Rahul Gandhi has to apologise to the people of the country for insulting them as they have elected a democratic government at the centre,” he said addressing a public meeting as part of BJP’s ‘Vijaya Sankalpa Yatre’ ahead of Assembly polls in May.

Nadda was referring to Rahul Gandhi’s comment in England where he said India’s democracy was under threat. “One who can fight elections and face defeat in elections, is saying India’s democracy is under threat, and he is saying it not in India, but in England,” he said.

Further launching a tirade against Congress party, Nadda said the rival party is even today promoting dynasty politics, and it has been repackaging Rahul Gandhi time and again, even if he is successful or not.

On the contrary, BJP leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BS Yediyurappa are self-made and come from very ordinary families.

Before 2014, India was beholden with scams like 2G, 3G, commonwealth among others, but today India is among the leading nations of the world under the leadership of PM Modi, he said.

Earlier in the day, Nadda held road shows in Tiptur and Chikkanayakanahalli, as part of the Yatre.
