Thoubal: Rabi crops seeds were distributed to the selected farmers today by Deputy Commissioner Thoubal, A.Subhash Singh, IAS.
At a program held Monday at the training hall of District Horticulture and Soil conservation, Deputy Commissioner gave away the seeds for the rabi season to the selected farmers under the Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) scheme.
Speaking at the program, Deputy Commissioner said the distribution of seeds at the right time is very important for higher yield. It will help the farmers and increase the production of crops. He also appealed to the farmers to take benefit of the various schemes being provided by the Government. Deputy Commissioner also instructed the officials to work sincerely and to give awareness to the public especially farmers about the various schemes and facilities available.
Meanwhile “Vigilance Awareness Week ” is being observed in Thoubal District also. As part of the Observation NYK Thoubal today organised an Integrity pledge and awareness on Corruption Free India for a Developed Nation to the job applicants along with NYK volunteers Thoubal at the premises of the District Employment Office Monday..
