Pushkar Singh Dhami to be next Uttarakhand CM

Dehradun: Two-time Khatima MLA Pushkar Singh Dhami will be the next chief minister of Uttarakhand.

Dhami was elected BJP state legislative party’s leader in the presence of Union minister Narendra Singh Tomar at the party’s headquarters here.

After being elected for the Chief Minister’s post, Mr Dhami said, ‘I accept the challenge, will take forward the work done by my predecessors.”

He claimed that he will take the support of everyone and take the party forward.

BJP leader Tirath Singh Rawat resigned as Uttarakhand chief minister on Friday.

Tirath’s predecessor Trivendra Singh Rawat had resigned due to infighting in the party.
