Nagpur:Indian Olympic Association (IOA) president PT Usha on Saturday said that there is need to increase the number of out-of competition tests to address the doping menace.
Speaking to media persons here, P. T. Usha said we want patients to be tested randomly wise in off-season.
“The out-of competition tests should be increased, she said adding that though awareness classes is being given , they are resorting to it.” said P. T Usha.
“I think more out-of competition tests are needed to increase to counter doping”, the legendary sprinter opined ahead of inaugural of “Khasdar Krida Mahotsav.
Doping is considered as an ethical wrong. It is a global problem. Doping is the misuse of certain substances and methods to enhance sporting performance and stamina as by taking such substances body can transport more oxygen to muscles.
