Lucknow: Congress general secretary and Uttar Pradesh in-charge Priyanka Gandhi Vadra hit out on Saturday at the Yogi Adityanath government for mismanagement at the state paddy purchase centres.
“Due to mismanagement in the purchase of paddy, a farmer of Lakhimpur had to set fire to his yield lying in the mandi,” Priyanka said.
“A farmer from Lalitpur died standing in a queue due to mismanagement in the distribution of fertilizers”.
The Congress leader charged that the BJP government is leaving no stone unturned to harass the farming community.
Priyanka Gandhi will flag off three Pratigya Yatras on Saturday from Barabanki where more sops are expected to be declared after on Wednesday she announced a 40 per cent reservation of tickets for women candidates for the upcoming state assembly polls, besides promising free smartphones for Class 12 girls and electric scooters for graduates.
