Polling personnel disperse from District Election Office, Imphal West

It may be mentioned that all the 13 Assembly Constituencies (ACs) within Imphal West District will join the rest of the ACs falling under 1-IMPC in the Phase-I Poll of the 18th Lok Sabha Elections 2024, which is April 19, 2024.

Imphal: Polling personnel in respect of Imphal West district, who are deployed for 1-Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency (1-IMPC) election, were dispersed today from the District Election Office, Imphal West to their respective polling stations. 

It may be mentioned that all the 13 Assembly Constituencies (ACs) within Imphal West District will join the rest of the ACs falling under 1-IMPC in the Phase-I Poll of the 18th Lok Sabha Elections 2024, which is April 19, 2024. 

District Election Officer, Imphal West, Th. Kirankumar and Assistant Returning Officers (AROs) monitored the dispersal and ensured all the polling personnel reached their designated polling stations safely. 

There is a total of 1,319 Polling Stations in 1-Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency (1-IMPC). In addition, there are 29 Special Polling Stations in 1-IMPC for Internally Displaced People (IDPs). In Imphal West district alone, there are 145 women-manned Polling Stations and 13 Model Polling Stations. 

The District Election Office, Imphal West has also identified 70 (seventy) numbers of Vulnerable and Critical Polling Stations and have made special security arrangements – such as the deployment of micro-observers and multiple security layers in addition to the normal security measures.
