Kohima: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be travelling through Nagaland on Thursday, en route to Loringthepi in neighbouring Assam’s Karbi Anglong district.
However, the Prime Minister does not have any official programme in Nagaland.
According to official sources, Modi will make his first stopover at Dibrugarh on April 28, where he will inaugurate the Cancer Care Centre at Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) and lay the foundation for seven more cancer hospitals in Assam.
He will then proceed to Loringthepi in Karbi Anglong, where he will address a ‘Unity, Peace & Development Rally.’ In the education sector, he will lay the foundation of the Veterinary College at Diphu, the Degree College at West Karbi Anglong, and the Agricultural College at Kolonga.
Nagaland Chief Minister and senior BJP leaders of the state are likely to meet the Prime Minister at the airport in Dimapur, sources said.
