PM Modi inaugurates permanent CBI office in Meghalaya

Shillong: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday virtually inaugurated the permanent office of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in Meghalaya.

The office was inaugurated during the golden jubilee celebrations of the CBI in which the office complexes of CBI Pune and Nagpur were also inaugurated by the Prime Minister.

The CBI’s office in the state was functioning from a rented complex in the state capital. 

The new office complex is in Mawdiangdiang or New Shillong in which most of the important government offices and institutes are already functioning.
