Munich/New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday held bilateral talks with Indonesian President Joko Widodo on the sidelines of the G7 summit at Schloss Elmau. The two leaders discussed improving trade and cultural ties and boosting the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
The PM said in a tweet:
“Met President @jokowi and discussed various bilateral issues between India and Indonesia. We had wide ranging conversations on improving trade and cultural ties between our countries.
“India greatly cherishes the strong bond with Indonesia.”


The MEA spokesperson in a tweet said:
“Boosting the India-Indonesia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
PM @narendramodi met Indonesian President @jokowi in Germany.
“Discussed ways to expand bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade & investment. Exchanged views on Indonesia’s ongoing & India’s forthcoming G20 presidency.”
