Pherzawl: The District Administration of Pherzawl organized a Tiranga Rally on Wednesday as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. Deputy Commissioner Asish Das flagged off the rally which saw participation from various DLOs, CSOs, VA leaders and villagers.
In related news, the Pherzawl District Health Society observed World No Tobacco Day at the DC Office Complex here on Thursday under the theme “Protecting Children from Tobacco Industry Interference”. Deputy Commissioner Shri Asish Das graced the function as the Chief Guest while T. Lalboi Haokip, Superintendent of Police, N. Vashti DI of Schools-Tipaimukh and Dr Karong Hmanglamkhup Kom, Chief Medical Officer were the Guests of Honour.
Speaking on the occasion Asish Das highlighted the harmful effects of tobacco use and stressed the importance of preventing its use among children. He advocated for a tobacco-free society to safeguard the younger generation.
