Pherzawl: Electoral Roll Observer for Pherzawl Mohan Lal Meena, IAS, Commissioner (Works)/Secretary (Manipur Lok Ayukta/Commission of Inquiry), Government of Manipur today reviewed the final Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Pherzawl district at DEO/DC camp office.

The review meeting was attended by Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) of the 55-Tipaimukh (ST) and 56-Thanlon (ST) Assembly Constituencies, besides district-level officers.

During the meeting, the Observer sought details of complaints and grievances raised by recognised political parties regarding the final electoral roll. He also reviewed the status of forms received during the revision process.

Expressing satisfaction with the progress of the revision exercise, Meena stressed the importance of ensuring that no eligible voter is left out of the electoral roll. He said eligible voters who might have been missed could be included through supplementary rolls in accordance with the prescribed procedure.

ADC and ERO Zousanglur Joute presented an overview of the district’s electoral profile and the status of form processing. Representatives of recognised political parties also shared their observations and expressed satisfaction with the revision process.

The Observer reiterated that safeguarding the voting rights of all eligible citizens while maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the electoral roll should remain a priority. He also encouraged political party representatives to share any concerns or observations relating to the final roll.

According to the final electoral rolls prepared under SIR 2026, Pherzawl district has 29,012 electors, comprising 14,592 males and 14,420 females, across the two Assembly constituencies.

The interaction was aimed at promoting transparency and stakeholder participation in the electoral roll revision process and strengthening confidence among political parties and voters ahead of the forthcoming electoral process.
