Imphal: An Opoid Substitution Centre (OST Centre) was opened at JNIMS Friday jointly inaugurated by Project Director MACS, Rosita Haobam, Director JNIMS Dr Th Bhimo, and Medical Superintendent JNIMS, Dr Kh Lokeshwor
Giving the keynote address Dr K Shantibala Devi laid emphasis on the high prevalence of drug addiction in our state and stressed the need for establishing such centres.
Further, she also shared that Tobacco Cessation Clinic is also already functioning at the JNIMS Psychiatry OPD every Thursday and urged the public to take advantage of both facilities, as per a press note issued by Medical Officer in-charge OST Centre, JNIMS Dr. Nelson Loitongbam
