One more succumbs to Covid Sunday in Manipur

Imphal: A 59-year-old resident of Imphal West expired at RIMS die to Covid-19 In the last 24 hours leading up to 5:00 am of Sunday taking the cumulative death toll due to the pandemic to 376.

During the same period, 9 persons from the general population and 1 personnel of the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) tested Covid-19 positive while 3 persons recovered in Manipur, as per an official release Covid-19 Common Control Room.

The recovery rate in the state stands at 98.38%.

Of the 9 persons (4 males, 5 females) from the general population, 6 of them are from Imphal West, 2 from Imphal East and 1 Kakching, while all the 3 persons who recovered were on home isolation.

Meanwhile, Health department has instructed air passengers who travelled to the state on April 10 by Air Asia flight 15– 7008 in rows 5– 11, to inform Covid Common Control Room 1800343818 or respective District Surveillance Officer (DSO).

The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,496 (General Population — 26,042 and Central Security Personnel — 3,454). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 29,013(General Population — 25,576 and CAPF— 3,437). The number of active cases is 107 (general population 94 and CAPF 13).

As per the latest information, the number of people vaccinated on April 10, is 476 and the cumulative vaccination number is 92948, the release added.

The total number of health care workers who have been vaccinated is 31939 include the Directors of RIMS and JNIMS, CMOs, DFWOs DIOs of districts, chairman cum managing directors of Shija Hospital and Babina Diagnostics’.
