One more death, 86 positive cases Thursday in Manipur

A 56-year-old male resident of Imphal East expired at RIMS Thursday taking the cumulative death toll due to the coronavirus pandemic in the state to 381.

Imphal: One person died, 84 persons from the general population and 2 personnel of CAPF tested positive and 25 persons recovered in the last 24 hours leading up to 5:00 am of Thursday, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.

The 84 positive persons (41 males, 43 females) from the general population who tested positive include 30 from Imphal East, 17 from Imphal West, 14 from Kakching, 6 from Bishnupur 4 from Thoubal and 2 from Chandel.

Meanwhile, 19 persons who were on home isolation, 2 each admitted to RIMS, JNIMS and SHRI recovered. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 97.02%.

Meanwhile, Health department has instructed air passengers who travelled to the state on (i) April 20 by Indigo Flight 6E-524 in rows 5-11 and on (ii) April 15 by Air India Flight AI – 713 in rows 11-17, to inform Covid Common Control Room 1800343818 or respective District Surveillance Officer (DSO).

The cumulative number of positive cases is 30,047 (General Population — 26,555 and Central Security Personnel — 3,492). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 29,153 (General Population — 25,711 and CAPF— 3,442). The number of active cases is 513 (general population 467 and CAPF 46).

As per the latest information, the total number of vaccination 118215.

The official release further advised all persons above the age of 45 years to get vaccinated immediately at vaccine centres of RIMS, JNIMS, district hospitals, CHCs, PHCs, and select private hospitals.
