Imphal: A team of NAB Manipur arrested one suspected drug trafficker namely Jangkholun Haokip, 32 yrs, son of Jamkhal Haokip, resident of Suongpi Tuibuong Block, Churachandpur District at Yaiskul along NH1 on Thursday at about 05:00 pm along with a Bolero bearing registration No. MN-01S/ 1228 driven by him.
On searching the vehicle in presence of witnesses, 30 (thirty) soap caps containing heroin powder weighing about 375 Grams and 2 Packets suspected to contain about 20,000 WY tablets were recovered from the said vehicle.
The recovered items along with the Bolero have been seized. A case has been registered against the arrested accused person with NAB Police Station in this regard, said a press note issued by the PRO, Manipur Police, Meghachandra Konjengbam.
