One dies, 10 injured as Express train derails near Nashik railway station

Nashik: One passenger was killed and 10 others were injured, four of them seriously, when 11 coaches of an Express train derailed near Nashik railway station on Sunday.

The accident occurred near Mohamal settlement at Lohshingway in the afternoon, in which one passenger was killed and 10 others were injured so far, official sources said.

After the incident, ambulances and Fire Brigade vehicles reached the spot to rescue the passengers. Also, the Nashik Transport Corporation Ltd dispatched its buses to the spot to ferry the stranded passengers to Nashik Road railway station, sources added.
