One-day outreach programme on SVEEP held in Imphal East

Imphal: A one-day Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme on Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) was organised at Top Khongnangkhong, Imphal East District by the Regional Outreach Bureau, Imphal, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India Thursday. Premananda Singh, Secretary of local club of Top Khongnangkhong presided over the event.

Inclusive and accessible election, use of cVigil App, Know Your Candidate  (KYC) App, Electronic Voting Machine(EVM) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) were also discussed.

An on-the-spot quiz contest on Election Quotient was held and prizes along with certificates were distributed. Manipur Oriental Cultural Association, a Private Registered Troupe(PRT) of ROB, Imphal, played a drama called “Election gi Sambal”, as per a press note from Programme-in-charge, Thokchom Anthony.
