Bishnupur: Bishnupur District Olympic Association (BDSA) Thursday organized a torch rally from Laukoipat to Mini Secretariat complex in Bishnupur.
The torch rally was held as a part of the pre-opening event for the upcoming 2nd Manipur State Olympic Games, 2022.
Deputy Commissioner, Bishnupur, Lourembam Bikram, officials of BDSA, sports personalities and more than 150 sportspersons of the district participated in the torch rally.
The Manipur State Olympic Games 2022 is scheduled to be held from August 26 to 30 under the aegis of the Manipur Olympic Association; in association with the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports. Over 150 sportspersons will represent Bishnupur district in about 34 sports disciplines during the second edition of the 5 days sports event.
It may be mentioned that the opening ceremony of the 2nd Manipur Olympic Games will be held on August 26 at Mapal Kangjeibung.
